Why we collect your personal information
As a registered training organisation (RTO), Automation Skills collects your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to finalise your enrolment or meet our legal reporting and Unique Student Identifier obligations.
How we use and disclose your personal information
We use your information to deliver VET courses and meet our obligations as an RTO. We are required by law under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) to disclose relevant personal information to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). We may also disclose it to the relevant state or territory training authority.
How NCVER and other bodies handle your information
NCVER handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable law. Information may be used for authenticated VET transcripts, VET administration, regulation, statistics, research, surveys, data linkage and understanding the VET market. NCVER may disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, other Commonwealth authorities, state and territory authorities and VET regulators where authorised.
You may receive an invitation to participate in an NCVER or government survey. Participation in a survey is voluntary.
