Website Accessibility
Automation Skills aims to make public website information clear, readable and usable across common devices and assistive technologies.
Website accessibility
The public website is reviewed for clear language, keyboard access, readable contrast, responsive layouts and compatibility with common assistive technologies. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a design reference and review accessibility as the website changes. This page is not a formal statement of conformance to a particular WCAG level.
- Pages use headings, meaningful link text and plain language where possible.
- Content is designed to work with keyboard navigation, responsive layouts, readable contrast and common assistive technologies.
- Forms should provide clear labels, instructions and useful error messages.
- Images and other media should have appropriate alternative text or an equivalent text description where needed.
- Documents and downloadable resources should be provided in an accessible format where practicable.
Support for students with disability
Students may choose to disclose a disability, health condition or support need during enrolment or at any time during their student journey. Information provided for this purpose is used to help plan support and is handled in line with privacy obligations.
Automation Skills works with the student, trainers and assessors to identify reasonable adjustments that support access to training and assessment on an equal basis while maintaining the requirements of the training product.
- flexible scheduling or additional time where appropriate;
- alternative formats for learning materials;
- assistive technology or accessible digital resources;
- adapted activities, communication methods or assessment formats where appropriate; and
- referral to additional support services where a need is identified.
Where a requested adjustment is not appropriate or possible, Automation Skills will explain the reasons and discuss available options as soon as reasonably practicable.
Request support or report an accessibility issue
Use the Contact page to request an adjustment, ask for an accessible format or report a difficulty with the public website. Tell us the page or course, what is difficult, the device or assistive technology you are using and your preferred way for us to respond.
Accessibility requests and support discussions are handled respectfully and as confidentially as possible. Student learning support and reasonable adjustments are considered individually rather than assumed from a diagnosis or label.
